SweetCanvas is a visual novel project I've been working on since around the middle of 2019, you can subscribe (for free) to the blog if you want to keep up with the progress. You can also support the project directly through donations on the About page or by pledging on Patreon to receive other art/content related perks!

I thought Ren'py is a quite opposite in regard of entry lol :D For example if you want to implement some sequential character animations, inventory system or global variables, everything should be a custom code basically. On the other hand, I don't find any good example of engine which is have all of that on the plug and play level :(
It's mostly that there's no interface to learn first before I get to doing what I actually want to do, and the language is so easy compared to say C# that it doesn't really matter that I'd have to implement things myself. For making a visual novel specifically it seemed like the easiest pick

What leads you to chose Ren'py?
Music is awesome, is it all custom written or did you purchase an existed tracks?

Ren'py just seemed like the platform with the lowest barrier to entry, there are extensive tutorials on the forums so it was just really easy to pick up and learn
Also thank you! Some of it is custom and some them are existing tracks that I've purchased that felt like they fit
